Hallwatch 2

The Philadelphia government watch dog website hallwatch.org, maintained by Ed Goppelt was shut down February 2009, but a new website, Hallwatch 2, looks to take its place. Hallwatch 2 aspires to make it easy to stay informed about Philadelphia politics by bringing visitors to the latest information. There is also a subscription service for Philadelphia tax records, deed information and other real estate records, but information about that is scarce at this time. It will be a long time before Hallwatch 2 reaches its stated goal of becoming "the new Hallwatch," especially in terms to Ed Goppelt's success in suing and getting records from the city and bringing the whole community together.

Grandmom bakes virus bread

I thought chain mail was a recent phenomenon. Meet friendship bread. Friendship bread is the email forward of yesteryear. First you receive the "friendship bread" from someone who "cares about you". This bread only lasts for 10 days and then goes bad. The idea is that you have to take this bread and work it into an ingredient in your own bread which takes 10 days to fully prepare. At the end, you have a yield of two times the original amount of bread. These bread spawn must be given to other "friends" who are now obligated to continue the forwarding, or else. If the chain is broken, the bread goes bad and nobody wins.
